In a call to action, Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar on Monday exhorted entrepreneurs and NRIs to invest in the state to tap into numerous opportunities.
During a virtual interaction with US-based NRIs, he assured them that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is fully geared to provide the requisite facilities for investors.
Kumar declared that the NDA coalition government is steadfast in restoring investor confidence and will soon unveil the country's foremost industrial policy for the upcoming five years.
He criticized the former YSRCP government's policies under YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for hindering industrial activity in the state, leading to canceled investment agreements and waning new investments.
Kumar also mentioned the willingness of the TDP-led state government to welcome investments in renewable energy sectors, particularly solar and wind energy.
He attributed the exit of several companies to the alleged negligence of the previous administration while highlighting the ignored advice from proactive industry bodies.
Nonetheless, he noted that the current government, in alliance with BJP and Janasena, is accommodating and keen on stakeholders' contributions.
Kumar asserted that Andhra Pradesh's geographical advantages are unparalleled for entrepreneurs and highlighted the government's stability.
He reiterated that the state aims to attract investments, create job opportunities for local youth, and uphold the promise of 20 lakh jobs made during the election campaign.
