Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today criticized Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy for his frequent reversals on promises made to the people of Mandya.
Addressing the Janandolana programme in Mandya, Shivakumar said, "Kumaraswamy must answer for his U-turns on promises. He needs to walk the talk and avoid making false promises."
Highlighting Kumaraswamy's inconsistencies, Shivakumar noted the Union Minister's backtracking on the Mekedatu project approval from Prime Minister Modi and his participation in non-vegetarian meals while avoiding crucial meetings on Cauvery water release.
Shivakumar criticized the BJP and JDS's padyatra, characterizing it as an attempt to whitewash corruption and destabilize the Congress government.
Asserting Congress's forthcoming victory in the next election, Shivakumar stated that the cunningness of BJP and JDS will be defeated by the people of Karnataka.
