On Wednesday, Jennifer Larson, the US Consul General in Hyderabad, met with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. The discussions centered on fortifying the US-Odisha partnership across various sectors including industry, education, renewable energy, tourism, and culture.
Majhi highlighted Odisha's advantages such as trained workforce and the availability of land, water, and energy, urging greater US industrial participation in the upcoming Utkarsh Utkal Conclave. He also expressed interest in collaborations with US universities in advanced areas like artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Additionally, Majhi sought US cooperation in higher education initiatives and invited American investments in Odisha's semiconductor industry. He encouraged US companies to explore Odisha's rich cultural and natural heritage. Larson lauded Odisha's encouraging industrial climate, signaling US interest in broadening commercial ties based on the state's priorities.
