Ukraine Incursion Raises Alarms at Kursk Nuclear Plant

Russia's state nuclear energy enterprise, Rosatom, has engaged in discussions with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding the heightened security situation at the Kursk nuclear power plant. This follows an incursion by Ukrainian forces into the Kursk region, as reported by the RIA state news agency on Saturday.

During a phone call with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, Rosatom's chief Alexei Likhachev highlighted the severe risks posed by the Ukrainian incursion. He stressed that this event poses a direct threat not only to the Kursk facility but also to the global nuclear energy sector.
