1,389 Agniveers Graduate from INS Chilka

The Indian Navy saw 1,389 Agniveers, including 214 women, graduate from INS Chilka. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi reviewed the Passing Out Parade, with other high-ranking officials present. Family members and distinguished guests attended this significant ceremony celebrating the achievements of the new graduates.

A major milestone was reached when 1,389 Agniveers, including 214 women, graduated from INS Chilka on Friday. The Passing Out Parade was supervised by Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff. Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, served as the Conducting Officer of the parade, with Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, also in attendance.

The event attracted the proud families of the graduates, distinguished veterans, and notable sports personality Omkar Singh, a gold medalist in shooting at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In his address, Admiral Tripathi congratulated the trainees and emphasized the importance of upholding the Navy's core values of Duty, Honour, and Courage. He encouraged them to excel in their further training to become technologically proficient sea warriors.

The Chief Guest awarded medals and trophies to outstanding Agniveers. Vinay Maruti Kadam and Sanjana received the Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy and Gold Medal for Best Agniveer SSR and MR, respectively. Sakshi Mohan Mirje was honored with the Gen Bipin Rawat Rolling Trophy for Best Woman Agniveer, while Ashish and Yuvraj were recognized as the best trainees in their respective courses.
