TPWODL Dedicates Udit Nagar Sub-division to Women Employees

Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has transformed its Udit Nagar electrical sub-division into a women-only workspace to promote gender equality. The initiative, celebrated with a launch event, aims to foster an inclusive culture and provide equal opportunities. Named 'Team Tejaswini,' the sub-division is staffed entirely by women employees.

Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has made a landmark move by dedicating its Udit Nagar electrical sub-division exclusively to women employees. This initiative is a step forward in promoting gender equality within the organization.

A launch event was recently held to commemorate the occasion, attended by various officials who emphasized the importance of this transformation. The initiative aims to create a more inclusive culture and equal opportunities within TPWODL.

Named 'Team Tejaswini,' the sub-division includes women employees from all roles, including the sub-divisional officer and junior engineer. Rourkela Municipal Corporation's Joint Commissioner, Pallavi Nayak, extended her best wishes, hoping the team would set a unique standard in electricity distribution in western Odisha. TPWODL CEO Praveen Kumar Verma noted that the initiative marks a significant advancement in the company's commitment to gender diversity and empowering women in the workplace.
