Union Minister Leads Bike Rally for 'Har Ghar Tiranga' in Assam

Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, spearheaded a bike rally in Tinsukia, Assam, on Monday. The event saw participation from hundreds of BJP Yuva Morcha members, locals, youth volunteers, and social organization representatives in celebration of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
Addressing the occasion, Sonowal lauded the campaign as a splendid celebration of the Tiranga's spirit. 'This bike rally embodies this spirit, showcasing the young generation's deep-rooted nationalism and commitment to nationhood,' he expressed. He also emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of freedom fighters to inspire national pride and commitment to nation-building.
The rally commenced from Chaliha Nagar, covering 9 km through Tinikunia, AT Road, Bus Stand, Chirwapatty Road, and Khargeswar Bazaar, before concluding at Chaliha Nagar. The event also included floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial. Key attendees included Labour Welfare Minister Sanjay Kishan, BJP District President Kushakanta Borah, ATDC Vice Chairman Rituparna Baruah, BJP Assam Pradesh General Secretary Pulak Gohain, DDA Chairman Ashim Hazarika, and BJYM President Siddhartha Baruah.
On August 8, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced the third edition of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, set to run from August 9-15. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged citizens to participate by hoisting the national flag at their homes and changing their social media profile pictures to the Tricolour.
