Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday took part in the Tiranga Bike Rally organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Roorkee. The Chief Minister flagged off the rally by personally riding a bike. Hundreds of participants joined this Tiranga Yatra on motorcycles.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the national flag is a symbol of patriotism and dedication to the country. He described the Tiranga Yatra as a campaign to pledge unity and integrity across the nation and appealed for public support in making the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan a success. Earlier, on Monday, CM Dhami inaugurated stalls by women's groups under the Chief Minister's Empowered Bahana Utsav Yojana and Chief Minister's Women Self Help Group Empowerment Scheme at the Secretariat.

During the event, Dhami purchased local products such as ghee, underscoring the state government's efforts to advance women's self-help groups through various schemes. He praised the products made by these groups and highlighted the new identity and employment opportunities being generated. He noted that self-help groups are producing rakhis ahead of Raksha Bandhan and urged the public to support local artisans by purchasing these items.

At the Secretariat, several self-help groups, including Devbhoomi Self Help Group from Barowala, Vaibhav Laxmi Self Help Group from Dakpathar, and others, showcased and sold their products. The CM's backing is part of a broader effort to boost local industries and provide platforms for women entrepreneurs. (ANI)
