Jammu and Kashmir's Director General of Police, RR Swain, inaugurated a newly constructed Police Post building in Anantnag's Chandanwari, Pahalgam area on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Police Media Centre PHQ, J&K. The ceremony was marked by the planting of saplings in memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
Swain, accompanied by senior officers, inspected the newly constructed facilities aimed at enhancing infrastructure and providing better services for police personnel. The inauguration is part of a broader effort by the Jammu and Kashmir Police to bolster law enforcement capabilities and community safety.
In a tribute to fallen heroes, Swain and other officers planted saplings under the 'EK PED SHAHEEDON KE NAAM' campaign. The saplings were dedicated to Martyr SI Mohd Amin Magloo, Martyr SgCt Ghulam Rasool Bhat, Martyr Ct. Mohd Amin Shah, Martyr Ct. Ali Mohd Najar, Martyr Ct. Bashir Ahmed Wani, and Martyr Ct. Irshad Ahmad Sheikh. The initiative aims to perpetuate the memory of these brave personnel while promoting patriotism and environmental awareness in the community.
