Using social media platform X, Modi stated, "On #PartitionHorrorsRemembranceDay, we remember the countless people who were deeply impacted by the horrors of Partition. It is also a day to pay tribute to their courage, which illustrates the power of human resilience. Many affected by Partition rebuilt their lives and achieved immense success. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to protect unity and brotherhood."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid homage, saying, "Today, on 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day,' I pay tribute to the millions who suffered, lost their lives, and were rendered homeless during one of history's most brutal episodes. Remembering this history and learning from it can help build a strong future and emerge as a national power. The initiative started by Prime Minister Modi is a significant step towards nation-building."

Uttarakhand's Chief Minister recalled the 1947 division based on religion, adding, "On Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, I pay tribute to the families who faced hardships during Partition. The tragic period of Partition is a saga of sacrifices, grit, and resilience. Let us pledge to end divisiveness and hatred." Dr. Singh added, "On this #PartitionRemembranceDay, let us honor the struggles and sacrifices of those who suffered during Partition."
