Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma flagged off the 'Tiranga Yatra' in Jaisalmer on Wednesday, ahead of Independence Day. Sharma actively participated in the event, carrying the national flag and waving to people along the route.
The 'Tiranga Yatra' is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,' which aims to instill nationalism by encouraging citizens to display the national flag at their homes. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took part in the initiative in Ahmedabad, emphasizing that the campaign symbolizes a commitment to creating a developed India by 2047.
'Har Ghar Tiranga' started by PM Modi is not merely an expression of patriotism but a resolve to build a developed India by 2047. As we approach the 78th year of Independence, Shah urged that no house, building, office, or vehicle should be without the tricolour. In the 112th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, PM Modi called on all Indians to take part in the campaign.
The third edition of 'Har Ghar Tiranga' is being celebrated from August 9 to 15 as part of Independence Day festivities. The campaign, under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative, was launched in 2021 to mark India's 75th year of independence. The initiative encourages people to hoist the Tiranga at their homes, aiming to evoke a sense of patriotism and raise awareness about the Indian national flag.
