In a significant development, a consortium of Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas & Renewables has won a project to establish a 237 MW electrolyser manufacturing plant, the companies announced on Wednesday.

The contract was secured via a competitive bidding process organized by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), with the project being part of the government's ambitious production linked incentive (PLI) scheme.

"Winning this PLI capacity under the National Green Hydrogen Mission not only bolsters our position in the green hydrogen sector but also opens new avenues for growth and collaboration in renewable energy," said Anmol Jaggi, Managing Director of Gensol Engineering Ltd.
