The Allahabad High Court's decision to annul the merit list for the recruitment of 69,000 primary teachers in Uttar Pradesh was met with approval by Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav on Saturday. The court instructed the state government to compile a new merit list within three months, aligning with the Basic Education Rules and Reservation Guidelines.
'It is good but we should not forget the torture the ruling party has done...People have made up their minds to remove the BJP...We welcome the High Court's decision,' stated Dimple Yadav. She expressed confidence that the court's intervention would ensure fair recruitments, asserting that this is a victory for everyone, especially the state. 'There is hope now,' she added.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also commented on the matter, stressing the importance of justice for the aspirants. 'I hope there will be no injustice done to those demanding reservation. They have fought a long battle and faced numerous hardships. We trust the government will deliver justice and avoid future injustices,' he remarked.
The controversy originated in December 2018, when an advertisement for the recruitment was released. The High Court's ruling is expected to significantly impact the ongoing assistant teacher recruitment process. (ANI)
