In a heartfelt gesture, girl student members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ningthoukhong paid a visit to the Foxtrot Company of the 33 Assam Rifles Post near Nambol Maibam Lokpa Ching (Red Hill) on Monday. They tied Rakhis to the jawans and officers, honoring the tradition of Raksha Bandhan.

Meanwhile, at Srinagar airport in Jammu and Kashmir, CRPF jawans celebrated Raksha Bandhan, despite being miles away from their families. The jawans of 35 BN Central Reserve Police Force came together to observe the festival, marked by the tying of rakhi threads, symbolizing the promise of protection and love between siblings. Exchange of sweets and gifts added to the festivity, reminding them of home.

Commandant Vishnu Dwiwedi of 35 BN CRPF at Srinagar Airport reflected on the day's significance, stating, 'Today the nation is celebrating the sacred festival of Raksha Bandhan. Sisters tie the rakhi to their brothers who in turn vow to give them protection.' Raksha Bandhan, a long-standing Hindu tradition, underscores the deep bond between brothers and sisters, celebrating love and protection. (ANI)
