Tripura CM Vows for Violence-Free State on Rakhi

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha reiterated the state government's commitment to a violence-free Tripura on Rakhi, stressing on women's safety and security. He highlighted the importance of a Hinsa Mukt Tripura and mentioned the state’s efforts to uphold the rule of law and reduce crime rates.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to maintaining the rule of law in Tripura and stressed the need for a Hinsa Mukt Tripura (violence-free Tripura), emphasising women's safety and security.

“Today, on this holy day of Rakhi, sisters have come to tie Rakhis. It is our responsibility to care for our sisters and ensure their well-being. Women, who form half the population, are now engaged in various workplaces outside their homes. Hence, we must prioritise their safety and security,” CM Saha stated.

He further highlighted the government's active measures in upholding the rule of law, noting a significant decrease in crime rates. “While some sporadic incidents occur, we take stringent action. A happy and safe environment for our sisters benefits everyone. While we advocate for a Nasha Mukt Tripura (drug-free Tripura), we must also strive for a Hinsa Mukt Tripura,” Saha added. (ANI)
