Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has laid the foundation stone for the Hare Krishna Tower, standing at 430 feet, in Kokapet. In his address, he underscored the state's commitment to rejuvenate Hyderabad as a 'lake city' and protect its ponds from encroachment and pollution.

Reddy highlighted that the city's transformation back to its former glory is a priority, emphasizing that the conservation of natural resources is crucial to avert future disasters. According to the CM, the state's initiative, inspired by the Bhagavad Gita and Lord Krishna's teachings, aims to benefit future generations without political influence.

The CM criticized the misuse of ponds, noting that less than a century ago, Hyderabad was renowned as a city of ponds due to its effective water management. However, modern exploitation has led to pollution and encroachment. Reddy also announced that the Hare Krishna Foundation will assist in providing meals to patients at government hospitals. Prominent figures, including state ministers and devotees, attended the foundation puja of Anantasesha.
