Delhi University has gone beyond its seat capacity, admitting 75,083 undergraduate students for the 2024-25 academic year, a senior official confirmed. The university seat count stands at 71,600.
Two rounds of admissions have been completed, and first-year classes have started. Upcoming rounds for Performance-Based Programmes and supernumerary seats, including CW, ECA, Sports, and Ward categories, will begin on September 3.
The schedule for further admission rounds has been announced. The upgrade window for the next round will open at 5:00 pm on August 31, 2024, and close at 4:59 pm on September 1, 2024. Upgraded allocations and the first round for specialized programs will be declared by 5:00 pm on September 3, 2024, with acceptance deadlines by 4:59 pm on September 4. Verification and fee payment deadlines are set for September 5.
A mid-entry window for those missing Phase II or facing eligibility issues will open from September 7 to September 9, 2024. A third allocation round will start at 5:00 pm on September 9, 2024. Candidates should check the vacant seat matrix and update preferences as cutoffs will differ from previous rounds.
