MLA Mukesh to Cooperate with Sexual Harassment Probe, Says Lawyer

Malayalam actor and CPI(M) MLA M Mukesh is ready to cooperate with the police investigation into sexual harassment allegations by a woman actor. His lawyer, Geo Paul, emphasized the importance of gathering extensive evidence and mentioned the possibility of filing a refer report if allegations are false.

Mukesh, a CPI(M) MLA and well-known Malayalam actor, has expressed willingness to cooperate with the police investigation into sexual harassment allegations made by actress Minu Muneer, his lawyer Geo Paul confirmed.

Geo Paul emphasized the necessity of gathering comprehensive evidence, noting that if the claims are found to be false, the police could file a refer report. "He produced evidence for court on Monday. He is ready to cooperate fully," Paul told ANI.

The lawyer questioned the delay in the victim's complaint, given her education and the incident's 15-year gap. The case against Mukesh includes charges under non-bailable IPC Section 376. Ernakulam's District Court has barred his arrest until September 3, citing no flight risk.
