Ukraine Downs Record Number of Shahed Drones Amid Invasion

The Ukrainian foreign ministry announced that they have downed 8,060 Shahed drones launched by Russia since the onset of the invasion. Kyiv has accused Iran of supplying these drones to Russia. Reports indicate that Russia is actively manufacturing Shahed drones with Iranian help.

The Ukrainian foreign ministry stated on Friday that Kyiv had successfully downed 8,060 Shahed drones launched by Russia since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Kyiv has leveled accusations against Iran for supplying Shahed drones to Russia.

The Wall Street Journal reported in May that Russia has been actively producing Shahed-type drones with Iranian assistance on its own soil.
