EPFO Records Surge of 19.94 Lakh New Members in July
The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) saw a net addition of 19.94 lakh members in July, as reported by the Labour Ministry. Of these, 10.52 lakh were new workers subscribing to social security schemes. Significant increases were seen in the 18-25 age group, including 4.41 lakh female members.

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) recorded a net addition of 19.94 lakh members in July, according to the Labour Ministry.
Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced at a press conference that 10.52 lakh new workers had subscribed to EPFO's social security schemes for the first time.
The minister highlighted that the data points to an uptick in youth employment, with 8.77 lakh members aged 18-25 years and 6.25 lakh of them being first-time workers.
Nearly 59.4 percent of new joiners fall within the 18-25 age bracket, suggesting a positive trend in youth employment, Mandaviya said.
The minister also noted an increase in female employment, reporting that 4.41 lakh female members were added in July, including 3.05 lakh first-time workers.
