The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) has called on devotees across the state to participate in temple poojas scheduled for Saturday, September 28th. The move aims to restore the sanctity of Tirumala, which the party claims was tarnished by allegations from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. YSRCP Chief and Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to social media platform X, urging supporters to stand against Naidu's purported misinformation.

Chandrababu Naidu allegedly spread false information claiming that Tirumala's sacred laddu prasadam was adulterated with animal fat, misleading devotees and damaging the temple's reputation. The YSRCP asserts that Naidu's politically motivated actions deeply hurt the sentiments of believers. Therefore, they are calling for widespread participation in temple poojas to purify Tirumala's sanctity and restore the honor of Lord Venkateswara's Prasadam.

On Tuesday, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) clarified that the rumor about a tobacco pouch in the sacred Laddu Prasadam is entirely baseless. The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of TTD emphasized that spreading such unverified claims on social media is inappropriate. The temple authority assured that the laddus are prepared under stringent conditions by Sri Vaishnava Brahmins, with strict adherence to rules and under CCTV surveillance. They urged devotees to dismiss the misinformation and trust the well-organized system of Laddu preparation.
