Tragedy Strikes: Couple's Lives End After Domestic Dispute

A devastating incident occurred in Harmara when a couple committed suicide following a domestic argument over late night arrival on Karwa-Chauth, authorities reported on Monday.

Police revealed that the situation unfolded on Sunday night when Ghanshyam Bunkar, aged 38, arrived home late, sparking a heated argument with his wife, Mona, aged 35. Angered, Mona left their residence around 12.30 am, and Ghanshyam followed. Tragically, Mona jumped in front of a moving train and, distressed by her sudden death, Ghanshyam returned home, where he hanged himself while their children were asleep in another room.

Before taking his own life, Ghanshyam informed his brother via WhatsApp about Mona's suicide. Harmara SHO Uday Bhan confirmed that Ghanshyam worked in the private sector and stated that their bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.
