In a sweeping action against terrorism, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) executed raids across six districts within the region on Tuesday morning, apprehending recruiters associated with the terror group Tehreek Labaik Ya Muslim (TLM). This group, said to be an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was orchestrated by a Pakistani handler known as Baba Hamas.

The operation spanned Srinagar, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Anantnag, Budgam, and Kulgam, leading to the dismantling of a recruitment module. These operations mirror increasing concerns over security in the region, further underscored by recent attacks on civilians at a construction site in Ganderbal, leaving a designer, a doctor, and five migrant workers dead.

Following the violence, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah urged security forces and police to remain vigilant. He condemned the violence as an attempt to destabilize the region's perceived stability and assured that the administration is committed to enhancing public security to prevent such attacks.
