Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has initiated a plan to establish old-age homes in religious sites such as Ujjain and Omkareshwar. This initiative aims to offer necessary facilities and hospital beds for elderly residents, especially for those whose families are abroad.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has initiated a significant policy to establish old-age homes at religiously significant sites, including Ujjain, Orchha, Omkareshwar, and Chitrakoot, to ensure comprehensive care for the elderly.
Yadav highlighted the importance of providing essential amenities and hospital facilities for seniors, especially those with children living overseas. During a Diwali celebration at Anand Dham old-age home, he reiterated his commitment to treating parents with the sanctity they deserve.
The state's Social Justice and Empowerment Department currently oversees 83 old-age homes. Recent expansions include 11 new facilities across various districts, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve elderly care.
