Indian Railways Boosts Services for Chhath Puja Travelers

Indian Railways intensify services with over 170 special trains for Chhath Puja travelers journeying to hometowns nationwide. Indian Railways is operating a fleet of special trains across the nation to facilitate safe passage for passengers heading to their hometowns during Chhath Puja. The move comes as part of a broader effort to manage the surge in festive travel efficiently and safely.

Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information and Publicity for the Railway Board, stated that more than 160 trains operated on Thursday, with plans for over 170 more today. Special arrangements at key stations like New Delhi and Mumbai have been established to aid commuters, and government forces have been deployed to manage crowds and assist travelers.

Additional coaches and enhanced security measures, including CCTV installations, have been implemented. The response from passengers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the efforts of the Railway Ministry in ensuring a seamless travel experience.
