Power Grid Corporation Expands with Rajasthan Transmission Project Acquisition

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has acquired a transmission project in Rajasthan through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project, named Bikaner A Power Transmission Ltd, aims to establish a system for power evacuation from Rajasthan's renewable energy zone. REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited coordinated the bid process.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has successfully acquired a transmission project in Rajasthan, underscoring its strategic expansion in the region.

The acquisition was made via a tariff-based competitive bidding process, according to a statement on Monday.

The newly acquired entity, Bikaner A Power Transmission Ltd, will focus on establishing a transmission system to evacuate power from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone, with REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited serving as the bid process coordinator.
