Kachiguda Police Crack Child Trafficking Case, Rescue Infant

Kachiguda Police swiftly resolved a child trafficking case by rescuing a two-month-old baby abducted from a shopping complex and arresting the main suspect. The baby was found with a woman who had allegedly purchased him. Two suspects are in custody, while one remains on the run.

Kachiguda Police successfully dismantled a human trafficking operation, rescuing a two-month-old infant abducted from a shopping complex on Tuesday. The prime suspect, Boga Narsing Raj, was apprehended within five hours. The infant was recovered from the residence of a woman, Sandhya Rani, who had reportedly purchased the child.

The incident occurred at D-Mart in Kachiguda on February 10. The accused accompanied the mother and baby for shopping, seizing the opportunity to flee with the child while the mother was distracted. In response to the mother's report, two special police teams were quickly mobilized. Using CCTV footage, the teams tracked and arrested Boga Narsing Raj in Gowliguda, Hyderabad.

The baby has since been safely returned to his mother, Shervatti Varalaxmi. Authorities pressed charges under sections of the Juvenile Justice Act. Besides Boga Narsing Raj, a government employee named Raghavender was also detained, while a third suspect, N. Umavathi, remains at large. Investigations reveal Raj's history of offering illegally adopted babies to childless couples participating in the trafficking network.
