At a recent meeting in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu highlighted the indispensable role of government officers, describing them as the true backbone of governance. He urged officials to shift focus from problems to solutions for the state and society’s accelerated development.

Reflecting on the hierarchy in governance, Khandu emphasized the distinction between policymakers and executors. While ministers and MLAs chart policy directions, it's the government officials who are responsible for implementation. He underscored the significance of their work due to their longevity in service, contrasting the transient nature of political roles.

Khandu reaffirmed the state's commitment to empowering district officials, particularly through initiatives like Bottom-up Planning.
