Ayodhya's Spiritual Pillar: Remembering Acharya Satyendra Das

Acharya Satyendra Das, revered chief priest of Ayodhya's Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, passed away at 87. A Sanskrit teacher and devoted spiritual leader, Das succumbed after a stroke. His demise is marked as an irreparable loss by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other devotees.

The General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra expressed deep mourning on Wednesday following the passing of Acharya Satyendra Das, the esteemed chief priest of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. In his tribute, Champat Rai emphasized Das's lifelong dedication to teaching Sanskrit and his pivotal role as the temple's priest since 1993.

Acharya Satyendra Das, who was 87, succumbed after suffering a brain stroke earlier this month. Expressing his sorrow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath acknowledged the loss as a profound setback to the spiritual world. His social media tribute on platform X honored Das as a devout follower of Lord Ram and a respected spiritual leader.

Das was admitted to SGPGI's High Dependency Unit in critical condition due to his stroke. Born into a family of priests, he was thoroughly steeped in Vedic traditions from a young age, endearing himself to devotees and maintaining a prominent presence at the Ayodhya temple. Notably, Das celebrated the temple's Pran Pratishtha ceremony anniversary with enthusiasm earlier this year.
