Chhattisgarh Leaders Unite for Maha Kumbh Pilgrimage

Chhattisgarh's political leaders, including Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, journey to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh, a spiritual event occurring after 144 years. They were invited by Uttar Pradesh's government officials, appreciating the visit for its religious significance and the unity it represents for Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, accompanied by his cabinet members and MLAs, embarked on a journey to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday to partake in the historic event of Mhakumbh. Expressing gratitude, Sai acknowledged Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's invitation for their participation.

Among the delegation are the state's Governor, Members of Parliament, and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, signifying a comprehensive representation of Chhattisgarh's leadership in this spiritual congregation. Speaker Raman Singh highlighted the rarity of this opportunity, emphasizing that taking a holy dip in Kumbh after 144 years is a unique privilege.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao commented on the pride associated with attending the Maha Kumbh, labeling it a pivotal event for Sanatan Dharma. The Chief Minister assured plans to visit the Chhattisgarh pavilion at the site. In parallel, Uttar Pradesh has recorded over 46 crore visitors and continues to anticipate increasing numbers, with new safety measures applied following past incidents.
