New Delhi: The Delhi Police announced plans to file a chargesheet by February 24 against two individuals arrested in a case linked to notorious gangster Kapil Sangwan, alias Nandu. Arrestees Rohit, also known as Anna, and Sachin Chikara have been held in judicial custody since their November 2024 arrests.
Adding a political twist, former AAP MLA Naresh Balyan was detained in early December 2024 in connection with the same case and remains in custody. Simultaneously, the court has reserved its ruling on recognizing the chargesheet submitted against co-accused Ritik, alias Peter, for February 24.
According to authorities, Ritik, along with Rohit and Sachin, are members of an organized crime syndicate led by the absconding Kapil Sangwan. During a hearing, Special Public Prosecutor Akhand Pratap Singh suggested substantial evidence against Ritik, including a witness statement linking him to violent activities.
