Salila Pande Appointed as SBI Card's New MD & CEO

Salila Pande is appointed as the Managing Director & CEO of SBI Cards and Payment Services, effective April 1, 2025. She will succeed Abhijit Chakravorty following his retirement. Pande, a seasoned banker and Certified Financial Risk Manager, has been with SBI since 1995.

In a significant leadership shift, SBI Cards and Payment Services has announced the appointment of Salila Pande as its Managing Director and CEO, effective from April 1, 2025.

Pande, a veteran in the banking sector, will take over from Abhijit Chakravorty, who is set to retire from State Bank of India at the end of March 2025.

With a robust background as a Chief General Manager at SBI and certifications in financial risk management, Pande is poised to navigate the company through its next phase. Shares of SBI Cards closed slightly lower at Rs 853.75 on the BSE.
