Uttar Pradesh's top officials convened a high-level meeting to ensure seamless preparations for the upcoming Maha Shivratri celebrations, scheduled for February 26. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and DGP Prashant Kumar focused on adequate arrangements to accommodate the expected influx of devotees.

The discussions emphasized the need for effective traffic control, crowd management, and water quality at the bathing sites. Singh assured that measures are in place to meet the required biochemical oxygen demand levels, while the irrigation department is tasked with ensuring optimal water levels in the Ganga river.

Amidst these preparations, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the ongoing Maha Kumbh for its projected economic contribution to the state. He highlighted Uttar Pradesh's growth, noting the removal of over six crore people from poverty lines, as part of a broader economic vision.
