In a significant development, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat commenced a five-day visit to Guwahati, Assam, as part of a broader tour celebrating the centenary of the RSS. This notable tour spans from February 21 to 25, with Bhagwat engaging RSS volunteers on pivotal organizational issues.

Bhagwat's itinerary included an evening arrival at the Sudarshanalaya in Guwahati's Barbari locality from Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. During his stay, he is set to address the Karyakarta, or volunteers, emphasizing social harmony, civic duties, environmental protection, selfhood spirit, and familial values, known as Kutumba Prabodhan.

In addition, Bhagwat will address a Rashtra Sevika Samiti meeting at IIT Guwahati and later preside over a Bouddhik program at South Point High School in Saukuchi. His visit underscores the RSS's commitment to its founding ideals as he plans to proceed to Arunachal Pradesh from Assam on February 26 for the following Prabas phase.
