Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently raised concerns about passenger discomfort on an Air India flight, which he said was an issue impacting all travelers, not just himself. Speaking in Haryana's Kurukshetra, where he was inspecting natural farming projects, Chouhan emphasized that passengers deserve adequate services when paying for air travel.

Responding to Chouhan's complaints, Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu immediately directed Air India to take corrective measures and personally contacted Chouhan. Naidu assured that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) would thoroughly investigate the matter to prevent future occurrences.

Chouhan's experience, shared on social media platform X, highlighted his disappointment with the condition of the aircraft seat and Air India's overall service despite the Tata takeover. He called for the airline to ensure better conditions and not exploit passengers' needs to travel promptly. Air India has since apologized and promised to address the concerns raised.

The matter prompted political reactions, with the Congress party criticizing the government's management of aviation and railway sectors. The incident underlines ongoing concerns about air travel quality and passenger satisfaction.
