Chinese pork demand has reached its peak, according to Zhu Zengyong, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Speaking at a seminar on Monday, Zhu asserted that future growth in demand is highly unlikely.

Zhu advised pork companies against expanding sow breeding capacity this year due to current pork prices. Instead, he emphasized the importance of enhancing the efficiency of existing breeding operations.
