BJP MLAs Satish Upadhyay and Harish Khurana launched scathing critiques of the former AAP government before the critical CAG report discussion in the Delhi Assembly. They accused the previous administration of widespread corruption across multiple sectors, including transport, health, and the water board.
Upadhyay asserted that the report would unmask the truth behind previous scandals, vowing that key AAP figures like Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi, and others involved would be held accountable. Khurana admonished the AAP for neglecting their duty to present the CAG report, contrasting it with the BJP's commitment to transparency.
As tensions peaked, Speaker Vijender Gupta suspended 12 AAP MLAs, including Atishi and Gopal Rai, following disruptive protests in the assembly. Angered by the developments, AAP members staged a demonstration outside, decrying the BJP government while invoking the legacy of Babasaheb Ambedkar.
