Bengaluru Police Constable Arrested for Rape of Minor

A Bengaluru police constable and his accomplice were arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl. The constable, under the guise of helping, deceived and assaulted the victim. Both accused face charges under POCSO and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are in judicial custody.

In a disturbing turn of events, a police constable in Bengaluru has been apprehended following allegations of raping a 17-year-old girl. The incident came to light when the victim's mother filed a complaint, revealing that the constable had exploited the girl's trust under the pretense of offering assistance.

The victim, residing within the Bommanahalli police station limits, was initially acquainted with her neighbor, Vicky, who allegedly manipulated and assaulted her. Upon confiding in her mother, a formal complaint was lodged with the local authorities, prompting an investigation that led to the arrest of both Vicky and Constable Arun.

The shocking details of the case reveal that Arun drugged and assaulted the girl at a hotel, intimidating her with threats of distributing private videos should she speak out. Under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, both accused have been detained and remanded in judicial custody pending further legal proceedings.
