In a recent statement, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin raised concerns about potential parliamentary representation loss due to the state's successful population control initiatives. Stalin warned that such success might lead to a decrease in Members of Parliament from Tamil Nadu, potentially reducing their count from 39 to 31.
Amidst this, BJP leader Tamilisai Soundarajan criticized CM Stalin and the ruling party for their alleged double standards concerning language politics. She condemned the purported actions of DMK workers who allegedly defaced Hindi lettering at a local railway station, asserting that the party can no longer exploit language politics for gain.
This controversy unfolds against the backdrop of a broader row between the central government and Tamil Nadu over the National Education Policy's three-language formula, highlighting ongoing political tensions in addressing regional representation and policy implementation.
