Punjab Police Clash with Armed Miscreants in Dramatic Encounter

In an intense face-off with Punjab police, two men identified as Prakash Singh and Prabhjeet Singh were shot in the leg in the Khem Karan area of Tarn Taran. The incident occurred on Tuesday when the duo, allegedly involved in recent shootings, opened fire on law enforcement officers.

Police spokesperson Ajay Raj revealed that the two injured were part of previous firing incidents, highlighting ongoing criminal activities in the region. Senior police official Aditya Raj assured the public that further investigations are underway to tackle the menace.

Responding to the increasing threat of crime, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP have directed a crackdown on criminal gangs. The miscreants, linked to gangster Prabh Dasuwal, possessed a 32-bore weapon and ammunition during the encounter. This operation is a continuation of efforts to dismantle criminal networks in Punjab, emphasized officials.
