Superintendent of Police (SP) Nitesh Pandey detailed the measures being taken to retrieve the sacred object, affirming that multiple teams have been dispatched. Authorities have enlisted scuba divers and swimmers, suspecting that the Shivling could have been concealed in the nearby sea, necessitating an aquatic search effort.
The priest of the Bhidbhanjan Bhavaneeshvar Mahadev temple informed law enforcement officials about the theft, leading to the mobilization of search teams.
