Police Station Khrew Registers Its First e-FIR via Email Complaint

Police Station Khrew makes a landmark move by filing its first e-FIR after receiving a complaint through email. Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat accused Adil and Bilal Ahmad Bhat of assault in Khrew. The case is supported by medical evidence and officially registered under Case FIR No. 17/2025.

In a pioneering step towards modernizing law enforcement, Police Station Khrew has lodged its inaugural electronic First Information Report (e-FIR) after a complaint was received via email. The complaint, submitted by Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat from New Colony Khrew, alleged that Adil Ahmad Bhat and Bilal Ahmad Bhat, also from New Colony Khrew, physically assaulted his entire family, resulting in injuries.

According to the station's statement, the complaint was bolstered by a Primary Health Centre (PHC) Khrew OPD ticket and a copy of an Aadhaar card serving as evidence. Consequently, an electronic FIR was duly registered under Case FIR No. 17/2025, invoking relevant sections of the BNS, ensuring that due process is followed in addressing the allegations.
