During a historic visit to Arunachal Pradesh, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar praised the state's tribes, calling them the 'pride of India.' His comments came at the inaugural Joint Mega Nyokum Yullo Celebration in Boasimla, Kamle District, highlighting the cultural richness of the region.

Vice President Dhankhar's visit, his second to the state, was seen as a significant event by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who emphasized its importance for the people of Arunachal Pradesh. Rijiju noted that Dhankhar’s presence in the small community of Boasimla put the spotlight on the cultural heritage of the area.

A notable highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of Kabak Yano, the first woman from the Nyishi community to summit Mt. Everest, underscoring the achievements of local figures. Vice President Dhankhar's visit to Boasimla was accorded a warm welcome, marking a momentous occasion for the entire region.
