The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has directed lenders and the monitoring committee to finalize all procedural issues by March 12 to ensure the transfer of ownership of the financially troubled Reliance Capital to IndusInd International Holdings Limited (IIHL).
At a hearing on Wednesday, the Mumbai bench of the NCLT urged all parties involved to resolve pending procedural matters before the next scheduled hearing on March 12. Accepting IIHL's voluntary offer, the court acknowledged the proposed capital infusion of Rs 2,750 crore by IIHL into Reliance Capital’s account.
IIHL, emerging as the successful applicant with a Rs 9,650 crore bid, intends to elevate its banking, financial services, and insurance operations significantly over the next five years. The acquisition has cleared regulatory checks, gaining approvals from the Reserve Bank of India and other financial regulators.
