In a significant legal development on Tuesday, the Rouse Avenue court granted bail to Tej Pratap Yadav and Hema Yadav, alongside other individuals implicated in the Land for Job scam case. These individuals appeared before the court following summons issued against them.

Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Misa Bharti sought exemption from appearance. Special Judge Vishal Gogne approved the bail upon a personal bond of Rs. 50,000 and a similar surety bond from each accused, while setting March 20 as the date for further hearings.

The chargesheets, presented by the Central Bureau of Investigation, encompass accusations against former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and 77 others, including public servants and candidates. The court had earlier insisted that the CBI file a conclusive chargesheet and expressed dissatisfaction over delays in this regard.
