The bus was en route from Gangavathi in Karnataka to Raichur, passing through Adoni, when it attempted to overtake another vehicle near Jalimanchi village. During this maneuver, a steering rod malfunction led to the bus crashing into two motorcycles ahead. DSP Hemalatha was prompt to arrive at the accident site and carried out a thorough inspection.
