First Unit Synchronisation Success at Patratu Super Thermal Power Project
Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) successfully synchronised the first 800 MW unit of its super thermal power project in Ramgarh, Jharkhand. The project is a joint venture with NTPC. The company plans to have all three units operational by the 2025-26 fiscal year.

Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) achieved a significant milestone by synchronising the first 800 MW unit of the Patratu Super Thermal Power Project, located in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district.
The venture, a collaboration between National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, is setting up three 800 MW units within the district. The project's successful synchronicity with the grid was acknowledged by R K Singh, CEO of PVUNL, who lauded the teams involved for their unwavering dedication.
Looking ahead, PVUNL aims to achieve the Commercial Operation Date for the first unit within the current financial year and plans to bring the remaining two units online by fiscal year 2025-26.
