AK Goel, the former managing director of Punjab National Bank (PNB), took charge as the Chief Executive of the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) on Tuesday.
Goel, who retired as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PNB in December, replaces Sunil Mehta in his new leadership role at the association.
The IBA released a statement lauding Goel's distinguished career and expected contributions to the banking sector.
