In a proactive stride towards addressing Delhi's infrastructural challenges, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, after unveiling the capital's budget, toured her constituency of Shalimar Bagh. She inspected newly inaugurated projects and engaged with residents to hear their concerns, particularly regarding utility services and city maintenance.

Accompanied by officials from the Delhi Jal Board and Public Works Department (PwD), CM Gupta began her visit in Ward 47 of Pitampura, empowering local elders to inaugurate a new water pump. Her commitment to community involvement underscores her administration's focus on participatory governance as she plans visits to six locations in total.

Amid these visits, residents expressed concerns over malfunctioning water pumps, non-operational street lights, and troubled sewers. This outreach follows her March 25th budget presentation, where she criticized the prior administration, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), for neglecting infrastructure. Gupta aims to revitalise Delhi, promising enhancements in public services, reduction of traffic congestion, and environmental conservation, including a Rs 500 crore allocation for building decentralized sewage plants to preserve the Yamuna River's heritage.
