The National Green Tribunal (NGT) is set to convene a pivotal two-day conference, 'Environment--2025', at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on 29th and 30th March 2025. In a notable announcement, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change confirms that India's President, Droupadi Murmu, will inaugurate the event.
The inauguration will also feature several key figures including Bhupender Yadav, Union Minister for Environment, Justice Vikram Nath of the Supreme Court, Attorney General R Venkataramani, and NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Shrivastava. This conference aims to serve as a vital forum for stakeholders to address environmental issues, exchange best practices, and devise future action plans.
The conference will hold four technical sessions on core environmental issues, led by various eminent justices. Additionally, the event will culminate in a valedictory session, graced by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar as Chief Guest. Highlighting student contributions and innovative ideas in environmental sustainability will take center stage, featuring a notable exhibition and an awards ceremony honoring exceptional university contributions.
